Rules and Regulations: Ensure you carefully read and understand the Rules and Regulations of the INIM India International Short Movie Fest 2024 listed in the ‘Rules and Guidelines’ section.
Submission Authority: The submitter must be the legal or actual owner of the short movie or the director authorized (via self-declaration of submission eligibility) to make the submission.
Submission Form: All fields in the submission form are mandatory. The provided email address and phone number will be the official points of contact. The phone number must support WhatsApp for communication purposes. By providing this information, the submitter consents to its use for current and future communication by iNiM Fest.
Submission Confirmation: Upon submission, confirmation will be sent via WhatsApp along with a registration number. This number will serve as the ID for the submitted short movie throughout the process.
Registration Fee: A registration fee applies to the submission to cover administrative costs. Payment can be made via bank transfer or G Pay. Submitters must provide payment details via email or WhatsApp. Confirmation of receipt will be sent through the same channels.
Movie Types- Short movies of any mode or genre, with a minimum duration of 9 minutes without credits and a maximum of 30 minutes including credits. The movies can be,
Eligibility - The short movies officially released in the year 2024, on any platform regardless of the year of production. The Non-Released Short Movies must have been produced in 2024 or earlier but must not have been officially released on any platform. Participation in movie festivals does not count as a release.
Target Participants / Language - Open to amateur and professional moviemakers worldwide, in any Indian language focusing Malayalam and English as the main stream but not limited to the same.
Submission Guidelines
Eligibility: The festival is open to everyone. Participants under the age of 18 must submit a consent letter from their parent or guardian via mail in addition to the other signed documents. Movies produced in 2024, whether released or unreleased, are eligible for submission.
Movie Subject and Consent: Short movies can be based on any subject or concept but not a direct copy or reproduction of any other subject or concept.
A consent letter must be submitted confirming that the movie is an original creation and not a copy or remake of any existing movie or short movie.
Submission Process: All entries must be submitted digitally through the official iNiM website. For released short movies, submit YouTube link or the link for released platform. For unreleased short movies, a low-resolution copy must be transferred for preliminary review via WhatsApp or Mail.
Festival Rights: The festival reserves the right to make necessary changes to regulations or scheduling.
iNiM Fest board has the rights to reject and refuse the late-submitted films and disqualify the incomplete film submissions or films submitted with incorrect information.
Selection and Refund Policy: The decision of the Selection Panel is final and must be accepted without challenge.
Movies selected for the preliminary review will be listed on the official website.
Selected movies will receive a Participation Certificate upon award ceremony, signed by the Preliminary Jury Chairman.
Jury Decisions: The decision of the jury members is final and binding, and to be accepted without any challenges and challenges will not be entertained.
General Agreement: By submitting a movie, the submitter agree to the General agreement for participation in iNiM Fest for the iNiM Indian International Short Movie Festival 2024 and confirm that you have read and understood the Rules and Regulations. The signed agreement form must be uploaded to the submission portal during registration. If agreement form received via mail or WhatAPP, the form should be signed and returned via WhatsApp or mailed to inimfest@gmail.com
Each entry must specify the award categories for consideration and include relevant candidate details provided by the submitter / Director.
Duration: All movies must have a runtime of 9 minutes without credits and a maximum of 30 minutes including credits.
Language: Movies can be submitted in any Indian language with English subtitles. Subtitles are not required for movies submitted in Malayalam or English.
Censorship and Multiple Entries: A censor certificate is not mandatory for screening. Multiple entries from the same production banner / Director can be submitted, but each submission must be entered separately following the guide lines.
Award Screening Policy: Movies submitted for award screening cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances until the festival concludes.
Entry Fees: Each entry must be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of ₹3000, and will be eligible for all title awards (e.g., Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Camera, etc.).
Entry Fee Policy: Entry fees are charged to cover administrative costs and are non-refundable, even if fails to meet the submission guidelines. Please review the guidelines thoroughly before submitting your film.
Movies (if) not selected due to any other reasons than the submission guidelines after submission, it is final and binding, and to be accepted without any challenges and challenges will not be entertained. (Reason(s) will be notified to the submitter in return and the submitter will have their entry fees refunded.
Ownership and Responsibility: The festival organizers are not responsible for disputes regarding ownership, title, director, competing male actor, competing female actor, or any other aspect of the submitted movie. Responsibility remains solely with the producer or director submitting the entry, and a signed consent form must accompany the submission.
The decisions made by iNiM Jury are final and must not be challenged. No correspondence will be entered into iNiM Jury decisions and or final decisions of the Grand Jury.
Copyright Responsibility: The submitter or sender of the submitted movie is solely responsible for all copyrights.
Screening and Promotion: By entering the festival, the moviemaker / submitter agrees that the submitted movie may be selected for public screening at the festival.
The submitter and director must be legally authorized to submit the movie to the festival and, by submitting submitter / director allows the permission for screening.
Fragments of the movie may be used in promotional campaigns or shared via mass media in association with the festival.
Rights and Permissions: The applicant must secure all necessary rights for both picture and sound, ensuring that the exhibition does not violate or infringe on any rights, including but not limited to music, images, or content.
Exhibition File Requirement: By submitting a movie to the festival, the applicant agrees to provide an exhibition-quality digital screening file (applicable for the non released short movie submissions) for the final award screening if the movie is selected for the final event.
Ownership: All copyrights and ownership of the submitted /reviewed /screened movie remain with the author.
Event Organizer Liability: The event organizers are not liable for inaccuracies or flaws in screenings or information caused by gross negligence on the part of the submitter / director.
Acknowledgment of Regulations: By submitting a film, the applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted all regulations and guidelines for participation.

1. Call for Entries (Released or made and non released short movies from 2024, Entry starts from 28th January to 28th February 2025
The journey begins with an open call for submissions, inviting filmmakers from across the globe to present their short films. With no boundaries on genre or theme, iNiM encourages creativity in all its forms. Filmmakers have the opportunity to share their unique visions, showcase their talent, and have their work viewed by a diverse audience.
2. Screening Process
Each submitted film undergoes a rigorous screening process conducted by a team of experienced film professionals and critics. This stage involves an in-depth evaluation based on originality, storytelling, technical excellence, and emotional impact. From this pool of submissions, the best 12 films are shortlisted to move forward in the competition.
3. Jury Review
The shortlisted 12 films are presented to our esteemed jury, comprising prominent names from the film industry, including directors, writers, actors, and cinematographers. The jury undertakes a detailed review, assessing each film’s strengths and uniqueness. Through thoughtful deliberation, the jury selects the top 5 films that truly represent excellence in short filmmaking.
4. Final Screening & Award Cereemony- 6th April 2025
The top 5 selected films become the stars of the festival’s grand event. These films are screened before a live audience, offering filmmakers the recognition they deserve while providing viewers with a chance to experience the best cinematic creations of the year. The excitement of the festival culminates in this celebratory showcase.
